Volunteer
At CLASS, volunteers are considered an extension of our staff, and a critical component in ensuring our individuals receive quality support and our agency excels in championing disability causes. We rely on you to help us meet a variety of needs!
1. Assisting with specific skill building tasks
Work in our Day Habilitation setting to provide experiences that build social and physical abilities. In this area, you could be assisting with group activities that might include art, music, reading or food preparation. These roles are limited to adults over age 21 with experience with disabilities.
2. Assisting with Marketing and Fundraising efforts
Are you an outgoing person looking to help put plans into action? Increasing community awareness of our mission and needs requires many skill sets in ensuring positive promotion. Volunteer opportunities include helping us with events, outreach efforts, or in our office.
3. Administrative Duties
Do you have computer or office skills and want to put them to good use? Help with photo copying, phone calls, filing and other projects.
4. Technology Support
If you are skilled at training on computer software for individuals on-site, would like to work with our assistive technology department in developing technology support for people with disabilities, or maybe even providing occasional IT support to our agency, then your expertise is welcome.
5. Translation Services
If you are able to translate documents for us from English into Spanish, then you can help Spanish speaking families supported by CLASS get information they need in a manner they can best understand.
6. Disabilities Education
Are you enthusiastic about spreading the word about people with disabilities and their capabilities? Are you eager to teach people about the challenges and reward of working with people with disabilities? Share these special skills with your colleagues or other audiences eager to hear this message.
7. Is there a crafter out there?
Help prepare for our annual Christmas Fair or Art Auction! You can donate articles or work with people to create works of art for others to enjoy.
8. Like to Play?
Recreation is a key component of our Arc services. Help out at one of the many family activities planned, community outings, and outdoor sporting events!
9. Maintenance and Repairs
Are you handy with a hammer or paint brush? Apply your skills to help with various projects throughout our buildings
